Two-day NAHRO Housing Conference

By  |

The first day of a two-day housing conference hosted by the Wyoming chapter of the national association of housing and redevelopment officials briefed landlords on rental law. Housing authority members came to learn how to use all resources available to address housing needs here in Wyoming and learn how housing and economic development inter-relate.
Landlords were able to understand landlord-tenant laws and fair housing requirements. It was also an opportunity for the homeless housing staff to gain a better understanding of how they can work together and meet federal requirements to gain additional money.
"The main goal is to have an adequate supply of decent safe housing for every household in Wyoming" – Greg Hancock, WyoNAHRO President
The conference provides housing agents and bankers the opportunity to learn how to access other resources to achieve affordable safe housing. Hancock hopes to create a housing trust fund in the future.
