Wyoming Unemployment

Officials with the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services reported Friday the overall employment fell a little more than two percent. The average weekly wage decreased by one-in-a-half percent. Overall, employment rose in eight counties and fell in 15;
Natrona County lost five percent of its jobs, and total payroll fell by nearly 74 million dollars.
Employment in Campbell County fell by nearly five percent.
Sweetwater County’s employment dropped a little over three percent.
Sheridan, Lincoln, Albany, and Teton Counties all gained jobs.
Statewide, the mining sector, which includes oil and gas, lost more than fifty-six-hundred jobs, or more than 20 percent.
