Wyoming Symphony Orchestra has Tryouts for a New Music Director

There are candidates from all over the country trying to get the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra Music Director Position. Each candidate will have the chance to conduct their own show. Howard Hsu is the first of four candidates slated for consideration. His program has two musical odes: Schubert’s “An Die Musik” and Corigliano’s “To Music.” Hsu is from Georgia. The conductor with the best show, will be given the job. Tickets will be sold at the door. They are also available by phone at (307) 266-1478. They are also sold in the WSO office, which is temporarily located at 159 N. Wolcott, Suite 180 in the Ohio Oil Building. There are a range of ticket options, including the entry to the afternoon dress rehearsal in exchange for a non-perishable food item. Food donations will go to the Wyoming Food for Thought project.
