Volunteers Gathered to Teach Residents how to Fly Fish

CASPER, Wyo. Wyoming Fly Caster volunteers held their fly fishing clinic at the Casper recreation center.

Visitors got lessons on proper casting and tying lures.

Volunteers say they hope to highlight fishing opportunities here in Wyoming.

"The North Platte River system is a blue ribbon fishery, so it's known throughout the world for being one of the most productive trout streams. But I think outside of the Platte, people tend to forget that we have a lot of other great little rivers in the mountains." Said Sarah Baird, a volunteer.

Volunteers will host this program every February,

Future events are free and open to all.
