Two More Riverton High School Students Plead Guilty to Unlawful Contact

Two Riverton High School wrestlers pleaded guilty this morning to two charges of unlawful contact following a January hazing incident.

Riverton students James Hampton and Peyton Rees Friday appeared with their parents and attorneys and pleaded guilty to the two charges.

Court papers say Hampton and Rees along with another student pulled lower class-men out of their seats during a wrestling trip and assaulted them on a school bus.

The students called the hazing, 'snake-pitting'.

Reports show nine total assaults took place.

The three boys were charged as adults and will sentenced in September.
