Two Arrested for Reportedly Impersonating Salvation Army Volunteers

CASPER, Wyo. Casper police were called to the East Side Walmart, where James Eagleroad and Kevin Dennis were standing outside.

Officers say they pretended to be Salvation Army Volunteers collecting donations, but were instead pocketing the money instead of putting it in the donation buckets.

Dennis told police he was covering a volunteer shift for a friend.

A Salvation Army volunteer at Walmart said he had never seen the two before, and they did not work for the Salvation Army.

The two were arrested and charged with false or misleading solicitation, and Dennis was also charged for shoplifting a flashlight.

The Salvation Army volunteer told police they are never out on Sundays and are not allowed to touch the money.
