The Casper Christmas Parade Is Shorter This Year

CASPER, Wyo. The parade route will start at 2nd and Poplar streets with a staging area running through Yellowstone district.

Several intersections will be blocked for parade participates aiding smooth traffic flow and public safety.

Adjacent parking lots will open, and CATC Along with "The Bus" will have special routes delivering people downtown to join the Christmas Walking Mall for a family-oriented Christmas Celebration.

"We are going to do this wonderful opening of the ice rink which is very much anticipated in Casper" Said Karin East of Proud to Host the Best.

Festivities will move from downtown to David Street Station in the evening.

"We're going to be starting with Christmas tree lighting at David Street Station at 5pm on November 24th and immediately after that at about 5:15pm we'll be kicking off the Christmas parade. It'll start at David Street Station run down second street and stop at Second and Beech." Said Sgt. Jeff Bullard of the Casper Police Department.

The metro area of Casper will be adorned with holiday beauty.

"We have a beautiful downtown to show so it's a great opportunity for people to see downtown Casper" Said East.

After the tree lighting ceremony, everyone will have time to get their favorite spot for the parade.

"I believe Mrs. Claus is going to participate because Santa will be at the end of the parade"
