CASPER, Wyo. A few of us got started off on an active note this morning.
We had the turkey trot fundraiser annual extravaganza.
There was a good turnout for that.
"We just want to have fun. We want to provide this experience for people coming in to visit relatives and also locals that look forward to this every year. It's just a fun event and we want people to come down and join us." Said Marlene Short of the Windy City Striders.
Out of towners visiting family were excited for the 5K.
"We might not even have turkey we might have bison steak...so we will have to work extra hard to burn off those tougher calories," Said Daniel and Kendra Joyner- Miller.
There were also a couple gyms that were open for the pre-thanksgiving meal workout. Extreme training was the name of the game today.
"it's going to be lots of different functional movements. It's going to be great cardio. Some strength training involved. We're going to burn a lot of calories today work off that Thanksgiving dinner." Said Brandon Vanderpol of Prana Fitness.
In another part of town, people gathered for group fitness followed by yoga.
"Probably overall about 40 coming and going through the two hours." Said Jess Burgardt of the Wyoming Athletic Club.
Hopefully, all that turkey and feasting can let you enjoy a much-needed nap.
