MILLS, Wyo. From gift baskets to smart TV's, money raised from auctioned items will help build new kid friendly faculties in Mills.
The ten-phase project includes constructing a playground, basketball courts, a new skate park, and more.
Mills mayor says things could get moving soon, depending on how quickly money is raised.
"The money is secondary. When we do events like this, we get the community involved." Said Seth Coleman, the mayor of Mills. "We have community events where people are able to come out and meet and talk to each other. And give us feedback on what they want to see in these facilities."
Council members say the project wouldn't be possible without community support.
"It means so much to us that so many people came out and bid on all these great auction items. We had the firefighters here, and town staff here and council members here. And just the town residents of Mills coming together, it's all a community." Said councilwoman Sara McCarthy.
The project is expected to be completed by 2029.
