Some Casper Hotels Don't Let Locals Book Rooms

CASPER, Wyo. Many hotels have experienced issues with damage, drugs, and prostitution which has lead them to be cautious when letting residents book rooms.

Some have a strict "no residents" policy, while some allow it for specific displacement reason, and others require a cash refundable down payment.

Casper police have worked with local hotels to educate them on what to look for and report.

"Like I said, some of them are locals and once that room is rented that they are getting complaints that people or a lot of people are coming and going and, you know, that something that usually never happens when you rent a room you don't have a lot of friends come over." Explained Detective John Hatcher of the Casper Police Department.

Before you plan your stay, check to see what the hotel policy is regarding reservations.
