CASPER, Wyo. The trial stems from a crash southwest of Casper during the eclipse which led to two deaths.
Most of the trial focused on the mathematical side of how the cars ended up where they did.
The state argues Richardson was using energy drinks to stay awake, calling it a conscious disregard.
The defense brought in their own expert Mathew Martonouich to examine the crash analysis.
He disagrees with the state troopers findings of the point of impact, where the motor of Lee's vehicle was found, and the position of the vehicles, as well as the speed Richardson was traveling.
The state rested it's case, giving the floor to the defense.
The trial will continue with hopes of a verdict soon.
