Police Responded to Shots Fired in Werner Court

CASPER, Wyo. Casper police got the call at 10:14 Friday morning.

"From 800 Werner Court advising that there were shots fired inside the building." Said Sergent Tremel of the Casper Police Department.

Dozens were evacuated.

"Right now we've deployed resources from the Casper police dept, Natrona County sheriff's office, Wyoming DCI and a lot of other law enforcement agencies that are here for the response." Said Tremel.

Officers did not find anyone with injuries and no evidence of gunshots.

By 12:00 pm people were let back onto floors one and three of the building, while police investigated on the second floor, where the call originated.

Many lingering around the building did not want to go on camera but all I spoke with said they did not hear anything.

Police say there is no ongoing threat.
