WYDOT officials elected to move forward with North Federal Boulevard's reconstruction project in Riverton.
Reconstructing the two mile road will cost close to 14 million dollars.
The road will include new sidewalks, street signs and sewage pipe updates.
WYDOT officials said they will work with residents during the two year construction period.
"This is as much their project as it is ours. It’s about the future of this community and we're excited about it because that’s an area that has needed improvements for a while,” said Cody Beers at WYDOT.
The underground pipes have not been updated since the 1980's.
The project is to begin next spring.
