CASPER, Wyo. Alzheimer's is often referred to as a "caregivers disease" because of the tremendous toll physically, mentally, and financially for caregivers.

Now Alzheimer's Association members are bringing a new support group to Casper.

The caregiver group will meet at 5:30 PM on the third Thursday of each month at Edgewood Meadow Wind.

"We are providing an Alzheimer's support group in our community there's a great need for caregivers to be able to come and have a safe and secure place to share their information about their loved ones or themselves with sharing with people with Alzheimer's and Dementia." Said Kandus Brooks of Edgewood Meadow Wind.

Nearly 10,000 Wyomingites live with Alzheimers or Dementia.
