Midwest School House System

Midwest Many of us are familiar with the Harry Potter franchise, and now Midwest School staff are using a similar house sorting system to eliminate the ongoing problem of bullying.

"I support the idea of the house system. I think it will be good for our students," says instructional facilitator Vikki Epperson. "I do think it will be a real positive way to build community between staffs and students."

The houses are Amistad (Spanish for friendship), Altruismo (Portuguese for givers, Reveur (French for dreamers), and Isibindi (Zulu for courage).

"To have that house system implemented effectively and get the kids really engaged is going to feel like one big family out here," says Assistant Principal David Sunday.

Students and faculty hope this brings an end to bullying.
