Natrona County Sheriff Investigators found a woman who had been strangled and abused by her boyfriend in a Super 8 Hotel room in Casper earlier this week.

Court reports say Evansville Police arrested twenty-five-year-old Andrew Herrald on Wednesday for public intoxication and warrants out of Fremont County in Evansville.

While speaking with Herrald, he asked police to check on his girlfriend and baby at the Super 8 Hotel.

Police responded to the hotel and spoke with a woman, who later contacted the Self-Help Center and said she had been held in the hotel room for several days and had been strangled and assaulted by Herrald.

Reports show Herrald rented the hotel room for April 8-April 10 and hotel staff expressed their concerns in court reports because they had not seen the woman and child leave the room since their arrival.

The woman told sheriff investigators Herrald had been drinking vodka, rum and forties of beer and he “smothered" her multiple times with his hand over her mouth and nose and physically assaulted her throughout the week.

The woman told investigators she did not call for help because she feared he would find and hurt her.

Investigators spoke with Herrald who said he could get aggressive and violent when drinking heavily and stated he, "really ****** up".

On Thursday Herrald was charged with two counts of strangulation and domestic battery.

He is being held in custody on a thirty thousand dollar bond.
