Loss of Parts Results in Morning Wrecks Along Highway 20/26

Around 7:58 am this morning (September 6th) Wyoming Highway Patrol Troopers were called out to a series of wrecks along Highway 20/26 near the Salt Creek Highway bi-pass.

WHP Trooper Brandon Morton shared there were three wrecks near mile post 1 on the highway.

It all began when a semi truck lost either its bumper or fender on the highway, which struck another vehicle, causing a minor wreck. The semi did not stop but the other car did.

The first wreck caused a second minor wreck and traffic was reduced to one lane of travel.

The line of vehicles then came to a halt in the construction zone until a vehicle heading southwest crashed into the line of vehicles.

Five vehicles were involved including a small red Hyundai which was sandwiched between two vehicles.

WHP reported three individuals were transferred to Wyoming Medical Center following the wreck, all of which were treated and later released.

Traffic was backed up for about an hour and all individuals involved were wearing seat belts.
