Kegler to Serve Probation for Pointing Firearm at NC Deputies

Forty-year-old Michael Kegler will serve five years of probation for pointing an assault rifle at two Natrona County Sheriff’s Deputies in early April.

He was arrested and plead guilty to aggravated assault and reckless endangering.

The deputies took cover behind cars parked nearby and eventually got Kegler to surrender.

When asked about the incident, Kegler said he couldn’t remember anything because he had too much beer and whiskey that night.

Kegler apologized to the deputies and the community for the incident this morning and faces a four to six year sentence if he does not complete the probation.
