Casper Mountain was not the only host for the Cowboy State Games which returned to the 307 this past weekend!
A majority of the events were held on Casper Mountain, but figure skating took place in the city.
Jitters were still in abundance despite the games being absent from Wyoming in past years.
Those obstacles were relatively easy to overcome for athletes.
Kenall Burch, Skater shared, “I was very nervous, but it's really fun once you get used to it!”
"We started at 8 this morning, got everybody on the ice, got everybody upstairs, the judges were rocking. It's just flowing really well, we've been ahead,” said Event Coordinator Mike Harvey.
Harvey noted many participants came from all areas of Wyoming, and a few participants traveled from Northern Colorado to compete.
