Details Released on Wyoming 220 Fatal Crash

Wyoming Highway Patrol reported two vehicles were involved in fatal crash on Wednesday August 23rd near mile post 59 along Wyoming Highway 220.

According to reports a Ford F-250 was traveling eastbound on WY-220 while a Ford Explorer was traveling westbound at the same time.

The Ford F-250 failed to maintain its lane of travel and drifted across the center line into the westbound lane of the Ford Explorer.

The two vehicles collided in a head-on style collision.

After the collision, the Ford-F250 came to rest blocking the eastbound lanes. The Ford Explorer came to rest off the west side of the roadway.

The driver of the Ford Explorer was killed by the severity of the initial collision. The front right passenger survived the crash and was flown by life flight to Wyoming Medical Center. The rear seat passenger in the Ford Explorer succumbed to his injuries on scene.

The driver of the Ford F-250 was extricated from the pickup truck and transported to Wyoming Medical Center via ground ambulance.

The report shows a 46 year old female and a 3-year-old male died from the crash.

Both were residence of South Korea.

Seat belts were in use according to the report and the contributing factor was driver inattention and fatigue.
