Natrona County businesses gained a boost thanks to the modification of the "free trade zone" at the Casper Natrona County Airport.
A "free trade zone," means business owners who import goods from overseas do not have to pay a tax and the zone has been expanded to include all of Natrona County.
The "free trade zone" concept is designed to help existing businesses which say is needed in a city like Casper.
Casper-Natrona County International Airport Director Glenn Januska commented, “So existing businesses in Natrona County that are already doing business can find out they have a financial benefit by participating in this and right now, they don't have to change their operation or change their location.”
Natrona County’s zone is the only free trade zone in Wyoming.
