Casper Man Pleads Guilty to First Degree Arson

CASPER, WY. Harley Bushnell pleaded guilty to first-degree arson after nearly setting his girlfriend's house on fire.

Bushnell poured gasoline over the porch and steps of her apartment after drinking and getting into a fight.

He said that though he poured the gasoline, he decided he couldn't go through with it and never lit the fire.

Bushnell's lawyer tried to get the charge dropped to second-degree arson, but state lawyers said the facts "didn't leave room for a lesser charge".
