Casper Woman Arrested after Baby Tested Positive for Meth

On Thursday Casper Police and the Wyoming Department of Family Services responded to a home on east Second Street to assist checking on a new born.

Police found the baby with methamphetamine in its system.

Officers spoke with the mother, identified as twenty-eight-year-old Amber Carpin.

Reports show there were other minors in the home and two men, identified as Shane Connely and Joseph Murphy.

DFS collected a urine sample from Carpin, which tested positive for methamphetamine and she admitted to using meth the previous day.

Caprin was charged with two counts of child endangering with meth and possession of a controlled substance.

Murphy and Connelly are facing charges of possession and child endangering.
