Cardiac Problem Results in Labor Day Death

On Monday, September 4th at approximately 8:20 pm Wyoming Highway Patrol responded to a two vehicle crash along Wyoming Highway 414 near Mountain View.

Reports show one vehicle was heading southbound on WY-414 when it slowly went into the northbound lane with no turn signal activated, making a left turn. The vehicle turned in front of another vehicle, causing a head on collions.

EMT staff indicated the driver of one of the vehicles may have been in cardiac arrest causing him to turn in front of the other vehicle.

The man was identified as seventy-nine-year-old Jerry Yates.

At the time of the crash, he was not wearing a seat belt.
