CWMRA Celebrates an Open House

The Central Wyoming Model Railroad Association celebrated it's twenty fifth annual open house this evening.
Today also marks their thirteenth year since moving from commissary mall to their new location in North Casper.
Members showed off train sets of the present as well as models as old as fifty years.
Throughout the evening there was limited mayhem on the track due to digital command control.
"A small microchip interprets the signal. Using those wavelengths it tells the train which direction to go and how fast it needs to go. We are basically controlling each locomotive individually; the track is constantly powered, so we can run any train in any direction in any speed at any time." – Nathan Lange, CWRMA President
The celebration will continue through the weekend from ten in the morning until four Saturday, with Sunday lasting from noon until four.
