LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) -- Ryan Dermody is playing his last season with the Wyoming men's basketball team in what has proved to be a roller-coaster college career.
Despite family ties to UW, the lone Cowboy senior first chose Colorado coming out of high school. When things didn't go his way with the Buffaloes, he transferred to Wyoming where he has stayed put through a coaching change.
UW coach Heath Schroyer describes Dermody as a solid teammate.
His career at Wyoming included suffering a dislocated elbow that set him back. He saw his role on the team decrease with the increase of Schroyer recruits.
But he has regained a starting spot recently, and Dermody says the program is poised for a turnaround because of the young talent.
