Cody’s hometown is Florence, Kentucky, where he also served as his city’s Student Ambassador, but even though his roots and family are in Kentucky he has been living and traveling all over the globe since high school. Cody served as a US Senate Page working for all one hundred senators during the 2008 election, his junior year of high school. He would return to the Senate while in college, working for the Secretary of the Senate’s office. Cody graduated from DePaul University in Chicago with a double major in Journalism and Political Science, concentrating many of his classes on African American studies and Poverty issues. He studied abroad both in Jordan, in the Middle East, and in Belgium where he worked for a Czech politician in the European Parliament. During his time in Europe he traveled to eight countries.
At DePaul University Cody worked as an anchor and reporter for his university’s news program, “Good Day DePaul.” He became passionate about inner city issues and would volunteer his time tutoring children in high-crime areas of Chicago, as well as working at homeless shelters.
Cody loves to travel and is excited to explore Wyoming and the west. Being active is important to him and he plans on taking advantage of all of Wyoming's outdoor activities. His older sister, twin brother, and parents in Kentucky all plan on vacationing in Wyoming. Cody loves animals and wants to see as much Western wildlife as possible.
Cody is grateful to be starting his TV career here in Wyoming and wants to hear from all of you. Don’t hesitate to send him an email if you have comments or story ideas.
