Casper, Wyo.- The bats were busy on Friday, and when the dust cleared Casper Cutthroats had a 10-8 win over Northern Colorado Toros in 10 innings.
There were 29 hits, including seven extra base hits in the game.
The game was back-and-forth heading into the tenth, with eight lead changes.
Casper Cutthroats finally managed to grab the lead after a strong tenth inning. Casper Cutthroats went up for good on an RBI double by Trey Nelson off #19, plating Thomas Lundborg.
Casper Cutthroats' Blake Coffman, Dustin Conley, Ben Holland and Nelson combined for eight hits and eight RBIs.
Five relief pitchers finished off the game for Casper Cutthroats. Steven Oleksak faced four batters in relief, while Alex Hill managed to record five outs to aid the victory.
The game was scoreless until Casper Cutthroats broke the ice with four runs in the fourth. Casper Cutthroats got on the board thanks to an RBI double by Holland, an RBI single by Conley, and a two-run single by Blake Coffman.
Northern Colorado Toros answered Casper Cutthroats' top inning with one run of its own in the ninth. Northern Colorado Toros scored on an error.
