Cheyenne Native Johnson Taken in 1st Round

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) -- Former Cheyenne East standout James Johnson was selected 16th by the Chicago Bulls in the first round of the NBA draft Thursday night.
The 6-foot-7 Johnson, 22, graduated from East in 2007. He declared for the draft after two seasons at Wake Forest where he averaged 14.8 points and 8.3 rebounds a game as a power forward. He was a two-time third team all-Atlantic Coast Conference selection.
Johnson led East to the state high school championship in 2006 and was named first team all-state in his junior and senior years. ..[Full Story]
