A change to the income guidelines for the Women, Infants and Children Program will take effect July 1st and that change will allow more people to get help.
The program helps support low-income families by providing nutritional food and breast-feeding advice for mothers.
Eligible participants must be a resident of Wyoming.
You must either be currently pregnant, postpartum or have an infant under 5 years old.
And the household income must be less than or equal to the total income guide lines.
These guide lines have increased slightly since last year; allowing more qualifying applicants into the program.
Health professionals say the program is a great way to help low-income families stay healthy and provide good nutrition for their children.
Mothers aren't the only ones eligible either. Fathers, guardians and foster parents can also apply for the program.
