A Riverton man faces charges from multiple counties while a passenger with him faces drug charges. Fremont County Sheriff’s deputies and Riverton police arrested the two outside of Walgreens on federal highway.
County deputies took 21-year-old Billy Napier into custody for warrants, while Riverton Police officers arrested 26- year-old Justin King of Riverton for possession of methamphetamine and marijuana. Both appeared before Judge Roberts by video.
Napier was recognized by a passing officer on federal highway.
“We were aware that he had outstanding warrants in not only Fremont County but in Natrona County,” said Fremont County Undersheriff Ryan Lee. “He was eventually contacted in the Walgreens parking lot. At that time he was placed under arrest.”
Charges for Napier include controlled substances and minor in possession as well as charges in Natrona County for drug conspiracy. King and two other passengers were with Napier and searched.
King pleaded not guilty to charges. Napier previously pleaded not guilty in 2013. Another passenger was cited for marijuana possession and must appear in court. The other passenger released without charges.
