Casper City Council Asking Councilman Hedquist to Resign

Casper City Council will be holding a special session tomorrow, Thursday, May 15, 2014, at 5:00 pm in Council Chambers at City Hall calling for the resignation of Councilman Craig Hedquist based on violation of the code of ethics.

Casper City Council Members plan to ask embattled councilman Craig Hedquist to resign Thursday. In a release Wednesday, the mayor's executive assistant tells News 13 Casper City Council will hold a special session Thursday evening at 5 p.m. to call for Hedquist's resignation based on violation of the city's code of ethics.

In an email sent to council members before the informal hearing last month, Hedquist said he would not accept any requests to resign, saying that's up to his electorate.

When News 13 asked his attorney if that had changed, he told us they had not received any notice about the meeting, but that he didn't expect Hedquist's answer to change.
