The Expedition League’s Casper Horseheads today announced the addition of seven players to the 2018 roster.
Joining the Horseheads this summer will be:
Infielder Daulton Mauldin, 6’1”, 190, a native of Lake City, FL and a junior at Bethune-Cookman University;
1B/OF Brady Van Hook, 6’2”, 205, a native of Deland, FL and a junior at Bethune-Cookman University;
OF Kanaikai Gaughen, 5’11”, 200, a native of Kaumela, HI and a sophomore at Mississippi Valley State University;
OF Jason Drees, 5’10”, 178, a native of Stevenson Ranch, CA and a sophomore at the University of Oregon;
Catcher Cody Nisbet, 5’11”, 212, a native of San Ramon, CA and a freshman at Ohlone (CA) JC;
Catcher Sam Olsson, 6’1”, 215, a native of Eugene, OR and a freshman at San Jose State University;
RHP Lucas Juarez, 5’11”, 180, a native of Gig Harbor, WA and a freshman at Walla Walla (WA) JC.
“Coach (Josh) Hogan is putting together a tremendous team,” Horseheads owner Chuck Heeman said. “Players will be coming to Casper from all over the United States and from top-level programs to play for Josh and the Horseheads. Coming off a championship year in his last stop in Oregon shows college coaches from all over the country that our coaching staff is here to make their guys better players and men, and the roster we’re forming up here in Casper shows the level of talent our fans can expect.”
Players will report just before the 2018 season opener at Mike Lansing Field as the Horseheads host the Western Nebraska Pioneers on Opening Weekend, May 25-27.
