Wyo Students Perform Better in Math and Science this Go-Round

Wyoming students who took the PAWS test performed better in math and science this go-round.

Scores showed improvements in reading and mathematics, grades three through eight.

Grades four and eight showed improvements in science.

The current test will be replaced next school year with a test assessing proficiency in different age groups as listed below:
• Reading and Math for students grades three through ten
• Science for grades four, eight and ten.
• Writing for grades three, five, seven and nine.

Proficiency assessments for Wyoming students were conducted this past spring.
