Winter Weather Comes To Wyoming

A storm system will move northeast through the area Sunday through early Monday with heavy snow expected in the western mountains, northwest WY and from Sweetwater through portions of Natrona County.

The Tetons could see up to 10 inches above 9,000 feet.

Most valley locations will see 1-3" of snow between Sunday night/early Monday.

Expected Snowfall Totals:

Casper - 3-6"
Sheridan - 2-3"
Riverton - 1-2"
Lander 4-6"
Rawlins - 6-8"
Rock Springs - 4-6"
Dubois - 2-3"
Jackson - 4-6"

Blowing and Drifting snow should be expected with strong northerly winds that will settle into Wyoming.

Winter Weather Alerts are already in affect across several counties. Drivers should use extreme caution while traveling on interstates and local roads and be mindful of icy and slick conditions.
