'Tis the Season to Recycle

Casper city staff is offering an opportunity to make the holiday clean-up process easier.

After doing their duty, lots of boxes, trash and trees need to find a new home.

Multiple sites around town offer places to recycle boxes, trash and even trees.

When recycling boxes make sure all tape is removed and it is broken down all the way.

When it comes to trees, make sure all lights, tinsel and decorations are taken off.

If you can't make it to the site, appointments can be made with solid waste staff to pick up your tree.

Recycled trees are put to good use.

"Game and fish take a lot of them. They used them to feed the beavers. And then when we have leftovers, when game and fish doesn't use them, we actually grind it up and we put it in feed stock for the compost."

Tree recycling opportunities will end on January 26th.

Only real trees can be recycled at locations listed on http://casperwy.gov/cms/one.aspx?portalId=63067&pageId=130133
