This year Casper Police collected roughly 150 bikes, some big and small.

Casper Police Detective John Hatcher commented, “Before, we have given them away at an auction, and we decided now to give them to non-profits and hopefully these non-profits can get them out to people and right now during this time of Christmas season, hopefully these non-profits can get these out to kids."

Casper non-profit organizations are encouraged to apply for these bicycles using the form on the Casper Police's website.

The application period closes Friday, December 1, 2017.

A department committee will allocate the bicycles based on the requests.
