The National Weather Service says Casper's airport is still StormReady.
Casper/Natrona County International Airport was first designated as StormReady in 2009.
The program helps Emergency Mangers ensure their communities are ready when a crisis occurs.
The StormReady area is located in the airport basement with food, water, and even playing cards.
To get this certification planning members were asked a number of questions many of us don't think about when we fly says Glenn Januska Airport Director, "What do you do with passengers what do you do with the businesses at the airport. Were talking about businesses that don't have basements. So do we have the facilities to accommodate them, how long could we accommodate passengers."
There are over 2500 StormReady sites in the United States, 15 in Wyoming.
