Lil Lander Gives His Winter Predictions

Riverton meteorologist predict a longer winter this year with the help of lander's famous prairie dog.

So far temperatures are above normal, but precipitation has been slightly below average for the winter season according to a local meteorologists.

Warning coordination meteorologist Tim Trotman expects current weather conditions to trend for the remaining of winter.

But chances of snow may accumulate more in March and April.

"You know Lander Lil did see the shadow this morning so we are expecting still six weeks of winter to continue across here in Wyoming," said Tim Trotman, a warning coordination meteorologist.
