Natrona County Commissioners chose Joe MacGuire, a businessman, to replace Kendall Kroeker in Wyoming House of Representatives District 35.
MacGuire fills Kroeker's spot after Kroeker resigned for personal reasons.

Tyler, what was the process?
Three candidates spoke and answered questions while commissioners listened.
Commissioners asked each candidate questions about the state budget, public lands use, and even Roe vs. Wade.
The other two candidates were Ed Opella, a former commissioner, and Bruce Sell, a local pastor.
After being selected, MacGuire says his focus going into the capitol, will be the state budget.
"We definitely have to tighten our belts and we are a balanced-budget state. So at the end of the session we need to come out with a balanced-budget and make sure that we don't cut anybody off at the knees, so to speak. It's going to be difficult."
MacGuire also wishes Kroeker the best although he couldn't finish his
MacGuire says he remains optimistic he can help the state through the budget crisis.
