With festivities just beginning...police agencies remind us to avoid drinking and driving.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration more than 37,000 people died in crashes in 2016 and roughly 11,000 of those involved a driver with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit of .08.
Police encourage us to plan ahead and confirm a designated driver.
If you plan on drinking...don't plan on driving.
The following are resources to use to keep yourself and others safe.
