Governor Matt Mead served food at the Wyoming Rescue Mission earlier this week.
Mead said he was impressed with this facility and the services provided.
He felt it was a testament to the community for helping not only with sentiment, but financially as well.
Mead has tried to reduce the homeless situation but he's happy to see the progress from facilities like this and the volunteers working within them.
Governor Mead also enjoyed it on a personal level.
"I enjoy meeting not only the staff but the people that come through here, that are down on their luck. Because their stories are interesting to me, and so many of them are trying to get back on their feet, they've fallen on hard time, and you learn.”
He also said he enjoyed the sense of humor people have here and it was a privilege to have this opportunity to serve them food.
