Downtown Fire Causes Buildings To Be Evacuated

A fire late Wednesday night in Downtown Casper caused several buildings to be evacuated and sent one person to the hospital.

Casper firefighters responded to the Alpenglow Natural Health store off 2nd Street around 9:30 p.m.

Firefighters say the floor above the business caught fire, but crews were able to quickly extinguish it.

All residents inside made it out safely, but one person was sent to the hospital for treatment.

The fire didn't extend to nearby buildings although a trivia night happening at Frontier Brewery was evacuated.

Firefighters used large fans to ventilate the building and nearby businesses.

Both the extent of the damage from the fire and its cause is still unknown.
