Douglas Police Continue Investigation into Suspicious Death of 24 Year Old

On February 5, 2018, at the request of the Douglas Police Department, the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation opened an investigative case into the death of 24-year-old Douglas resident Dustin Bruegger.

On February 3, 2018, law enforcement and medical personnel were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of North 2nd Street, Douglas, Wyoming, for a shooting. Dustin Bruegger was found deceased at the scene.

The Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation, Douglas Police Department, Wyoming State Crime Laboratory, Converse County Sheriff’s Office, Converse County Attorney’s Office, Converse County Coroner’s Office, Wyoming Highway Patrol have assisted in the investigation.

The investigation has revealed there to be no continuing threat to the community as the incident appears to be an isolated event. The death is being investigated as a homicide pending autopsy and forensic findings.
