'Close Encounters of a Symphonic Kind' Set to Kick Off the Eclipse Week

We are just a few days out from Wyoming’s biggest show in the sky but before the solar eclipse, visitors can get take in the eclipse atmosphere at Washington Park.

Wyoming Symphony Orchestra has worked on their eclipse concert for the past two years and staff are ready to bring, "Close Encounters of a Symphonic Kind" to the stage.

Sets from Star Wars ET and a number from Apollo 13 will be played.

A shuttle will be provided at the Casper Recreation Center or the Beverly Plaza Shopping Center.

WSO expect a great turnout which features drinks specials from urban bottle Backwards Distillery and special guest violinist, Alexander Markov.

Rachel Bailey WSO Executive Director, “We've invited as many local businesses to participate as we can, so we are so excited for this all to come together and you know help with the celebration of the solar eclipse and really help Casper to put its best foot foward for all of our visitors that weekend."

Tickets for the concert are available on-line or at events in Casper this weekend.
