Close Encounters of a Symphonic Kind Rises Before the Eclipse

You Wyoming eclipse fans now have a new concert to put on your radar!

Wyoming Symphony Orchestra is excited to bring everyone's favorite film sets to Washington Park this summer.

Just before the big day of the eclipse the orchestra is to take over the band shell at Washington Park for a 'space themed' concert.

The orchestra is to play sets from Star Wars, E.t. Adventures on Earth and a number from Apollo 13.

Be sure to bring a chair or blanket to sit on as event organizers expect close to two thousand people to fill the park.

Rachel Bailey Executive Director of Wyoming Symphony Orchestra shared, “We're just so excited that we are able to launch this series and launch it during the eclipse weekend. We know that there is going to be a lot of visitors in Casper and we are thrilled to be able to participate in entertaining all of those folks while they are here, you know helping Casper to put its best foot forward."

The city has agreed to add an extension to the stage for the performance.
