A former Casper employee is facing ten years in prison after court papers show she stole close to twenty-thousand dollars from the city of Casper.

Thirty-eight-year-old Heather Kirkendall is facing felony larceny for depositing city funds into her personal bank account while working for the city.

Court records show Kirkendall worked in the Community Development Division and Human Resources at the city and between 2014 and 2017 there were 187 discrepancies in city recipes and transactions.

The 187 discrepancies of missing funds resulted in $19,403.75 missing.
Today Kirkendall plead not guilty to the single charge of larceny.

A search warrant was issued in November to search Kirkendall's bank records and a warrant for her arrest was issued in December, she was later arrested.
