For weeks south-west Wyoming Boulevard has been under construction.
Wyoming Department of Transportation staff said repairs are expected to end soon.
If you are looking to avoid traffic delays, Wydot officials suggest taking an alternate route and pay close attention to signage in the construction zone.
Signs have been placed in designated zones in the construction area and with public safety in mind.
Jeff Goetz at Wydot shared, “The whole idea behind signage within a construction zone is simply based upon safety. You have to move the people over and get them to do what you want to do well before the construction zone."
You may have noticed around Casper, certain side streets along the construction route are "right turns" only, a frustration for the public, but a necessity.
Goetz said the project’s goal is to get the bridge up to standard regulations by replacing the guard rails and resurfacing the roadway.
Residents can cheer; the project is expected to be complete in mid-October.
