Casper residents were able to make their marks on the history of Casper.
Saturday kids and adults signed their names onto steel columns for the "Brian Scott Gamroth" Stage.
Residents left their signatures or wrote simple messages.
The stage is part of phase one for the downtown, David Street Station Project.
It will include walkways, lighting and landscapes.
Phase two will have splash pads and open spaces for live performances.
So far, the Downtown Development Authority staff has raised nearly five million dollars in private funds for the project, while matching 250-thousand for public funds.
And they're close to reaching their goal.
DDA Director Kevin Hawley shared on Saturday, "Ten dollars to someone up to a million dollars. It's everyone in this community. Many hands make light work and this community continues to be generous, and give and give and give, and we're just so thankful and appreciative."
Phase one will be finished in August before the Solar Eclipse. Phase two of the project starts this summer.
