Autopsy Planned for 21-Year-Old Involved in Recent Shooting

This afternoon, a Natrona County Coroner report shows a twenty-one-year-old man was shot and killed by police on Tuesday at a convenience store on the corner of CY Avenue and Kit Carson.

Reports say police were called to the 500 block of Granite Drive where they were told a man threated neighborhood residents by pointing a gun at them.

A search began and the suspect was found near Evansville.

Police started a high-speed chase up east 2nd Street until the chase was called off for public safety.

The man's car was found parked at the Smiths Convenience Store on CY Avenue.

When an officer approached the suspect, the shooting began and the man was shot and killed.

The case has been turned over to DCI for further investigation.

The name will be released once the family has been notified.

An autopsy is planned for later this week.
